Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s move to Arsenal is reportedly close, but appears to be getting more complicated by the minute.
Borussia Dortmund are said to be reluctant to sell the striker without finding a replacement.
That’s where Olivier Giroud comes into it. The French international was linked with a move to Dortmund last week but is now said to be close to moving to Chelsea. If he does, Michy Batshuayi will reportedly be allowed to leave Stamford Bridge with – you guessed it – Dortmund poised to sign him as a replacement for Aubameyang.
Exhausting.
We’re not done there, either. Reports on Tuesday have suggested that Brazilian international David Luiz could also be moving to Arsenal – possibly as part of the Giroud deal.
The defender / defensive midfielder rejoined Chelsea from Paris Saint-Germain in 2016 after leaving them for the French capital before the 2014 World Cup. Recent reports have claimed the 30-year-old does not see eye-to-eye with Antonio Conte, who is willing to let him leave the club.
Odds on him departing for The Emirates have been slashed, with many Arsenal fans clearly excited at the prospect of Arsene Wenger bringing in some much-needed defensive reinforcements.

I'd love David Luiz at Arsenal. He's better than people are pretending.
