Welcome back, Leeds
The 2020/21 Premier League fixtures have been announced, and Leeds have a baptism of fire in their first game back in the top flight.
The Championship winners will face Premier League champions Liverpool at Anfield on the opening weekend.
Championship runners up West Bromich Albion face Leicester City at home, and play-off winners Fulham will host fellow Londoners Arsenal.
The full set of fixtures for the first weekend looks like this:
Saturday 12th September
Crystal Palace v Southampton
Fulham v Arsenal
Liverpool v Leeds United
Spurs v Everton
West Brom v Leicester City
West Ham v Newcastle United
Monday 14th September
Brighton v Chelsea
Sheffield United v Wolves
Burnley v Manchester United and Manchester City v Aston Villa are also part of the first round of games, but will be rearranged. Those two games have been postponed, in order to give both City and United 30 days since their exits from the Champions League and Europa League respectively.
Chelsea’s tie with Brighton and Wolverhampton Wanders’ trip to Sheffield United, to give them a few extra days after their earlier exits from European competitions.
You can view the entire season’s fixtures over on the Premier League website.
Other games to look forward to on opening day include Tottenham Hotspur v Everton, West Ham United v Newcastle United and Crystal Palace v Southampton.
The dates and kick-off times are of course subject to change when television broadcasters announce which games they will be airing.
The Football League fixtures are due to be announced on Friday.
