The season kicks off on a Friday night for the second year in a row.

The following day, Newcastle United versus Tottenham Hotspur at St James Park will also be broadcast on Sky. Liverpool versus West Ham United, and Arsenal against champions Manchester City, will be shown live on Sky on Sunday, August 12.
The clash between newly-promoted Wolverhampton Wanderers and Everton will be shown live on BT Sport on Saturday, August 11 at 5:30 pm. They will also broadcast the match between Chelsea and Arsenal the following Saturday.
