Saka expected to start against Denmark in tonight’s Euros semi-final

He is expected to replace Jadon Sancho in the starting lineup.

Bukayo Saka is set to return to Gareth Southgate’s starting XI for England’s semi final clash with Denmark at Wembley.

It is expected to be the only change to the lineup that started against Ukraine in England’s 4-0 win in the quarter finals.

It will be the third start for 19-year-old in the tournament, after he missed the quarter final in Rome with a knock. This handed Sancho is first start of the tournament.

The Arsenal forward has been hugely impressive in his previous starts against Czech Republic in the group stage and Germany in the last 16, and it looks like Southgate is set to trust him again for what is undoubtedly one of the biggest games in England’s history.

If Saka does start, he will be the first teenager to ever start for England in a major tournament semi final.

England’s starting lineup against Ukraine was as follows: Pickford; Walker, Stones, Maguire, Shaw; Rice, Phillips; Sancho, Mount, Sterling; Kane.

Gareth Southgate has a completely fit squad as well, with no players missing through suspension either.

Sancho can probably feel slightly hard-done by, as he put in an impressive performance against the Ukrainians. But Saka has been one of England’s stars of the tournament.

The teenager was named man of the match on his first start of the tournament against the Czech Republic, with manager Southgate praising him for delivering a “real standout performance.”

Saka then out in another impressive performance in England’s 2-0 victory over Germany in the last 16. He’ll now hope to be part of history in an England shirt as the Three Lions attempt to make their first tournament final since 1966.

How are the nerves doing everyone…
