Do you want chips with that salt, Jurgen?
Jurgen Klopp was not happy after Liverpool’s game on Saturday. He had just watched his team relinquish a two goal lead away to the Premier League’s bottom side, with Salomon Rondon’s late header giving the Baggies a slim chance of remaining in the top flight.
Understandably, the German coach was not best pleased with how things had gone out on the pitch, from Ahmed Hegazi’s punch on Danny Ings to the groundsmen’s handiwork.
Citing the lack of water sprayed on the grass during the half-time interval, Klopp stated that it was the dry pitch at the Hawthorns which had caused his team to go from 2-0 up to drawing 2-2.
“If the pitch is dry you can pass the ball,” he said, when asked what difference a dry pitch makes, before inserting a body blow to the hosts at the end of the interview by stating, with a straight face, that West Brom can play on a dry pitch in the Championship next season.
Was it a little harsh? Perhaps. Was it very funny? Yes.

Klopp: "West Brom decided not to water the pitch at half-time again, it made it quite difficult."

Some astonishing quotes from Klopp in his post-match presser. Blamed the dry pitch and described West Brom's comeback as "useless" and a "waste of points". #wba

Unsurprisingly, this pitch-centric anger was viewed in a mixed light on social media, with rival fans seeing it as little more than an excuse for a poor performance, and Liverpool fans seeing it as further proof that Klopp is a demi-god.
Jurgen Klopp has literally just blamed that on a dry pitch and West Brom not watering the pitch at half time.
One of the most pathetic managers ever.
