Mesut Ozil definitely wasn’t offering a few pleasantries to Hector Bellerin.
Arsenal’s 3-0 victory over Stoke City perhaps doesn’t tell the whole story of the game as the Gunners were booed off at half-time, with the score poised finely at 0-0.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang opened the scoring with just fifteen minutes remaining before he doubled the hosts’ advantage ten minutes later.
Despite being on a hat-trick, the Gabonese forward kindly allowed Alexandre Lacazette to convert a penalty in the final minute to boost the Frenchman’s confidence.
While Aubameyang had the best interest of his teammate at heart, the same can’t be said for Ozil, who gave Bellerin an earful in the final minutes of the game at the Emirates.
Bellerin misplaced a pass to the German playmaker but blamed Ozil for failing to reach it, which prompted a furious reaction from the midfielder.
Ozil appeared to tell the Spanish right-back that he spoke too much before seemingly saying that they could see each other after the match.
You definitely didn’t need to be a lip-reader to figure out what was said.
