Alexis Sanchez’s move from Arsenal to Manchester United isn’t done yet. Not quite, anyway.
Although the Chilean is believed to have passed a medical, signed paperwork and – as a leaked picture confirmed on Sunday –pulled on the United shirt for the first time, he’s yet to be officially unveiled as a United player.
According to Craig Norwood, a photographer who is well-connected to the club, the only thing preventing the official confirmation should be cleared up on Monday.
In a tweet sent on Monday morning, Norwood explains that despite being in Manchester for much of Sunday, Sanchez has now left the city to fill out paperwork to update his work permit. When this has been finalised, his move will be completed.
The final piece for the Alexis Sánchez transfer to #MUFC is to be completed today, he has to travel out of Manchester to fill in paperwork for an updated work permit. Then all done.

It was reported on Saturday evening that United were expected to tie up the deal ‘within 48 hours’. It now looks increasingly likely that this information is correct, with Sanchez expected to be unveiled at some point on Monday.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who will move in the opposite direction to Sanchez as part of the deal, celebrated his 29th birthday in London on Sunday. The Armenian is believed to have bid farewell to his United teammates on Friday, although Paul Pogba joined him to celebrate his birthday on Sunday evening. Marcos Rojo was also pictured visiting Mkhitaryan in his hotel.
