No, really.
Harry Kane wants that Golden Boot. Harry Kane *really* wants that Golden Boot.
Clearly, the England international felt aggrieved that Tottenham’s second goal at Stoke over the weekend was awarded to Christian Eriksen – as his tweets to Gary Lineker later showed.
Another great away win. Definitely claiming that goal, flicked off my shoulder on the way in. @GaryLineker and @alanshearer will clear that one up on @BBCMOTD 😀 #COYS #THFC #PremierLeague pic.twitter.com/jIDF7cLf3d

At the time, some might have seen this as a light-hearted joke from the striker. We have now appear to have been given good enough reason to believe he meant every single word…
Sky Sports sources have claimed that Tottenham have now appealed to the Premier League on behalf of Kane in a bid to ensure he is credited for the goal. If this happens, it will boost his chances of winning this season’s Golden Boot.
Speaking after the game, Eriksen, who definitely scored Spurs’ other goal in their 2-1 victory at the Bet365 Stadium, didn’t seem too concerned about the goal being taken from him.
“He celebrated like it was his goal so I expect he touched it,” he said. “I’ll take the assist. That’s fine. Of course [you have to take his word for it], but on the camera we will see if it’s true or not. I think it is.”
Currently on 24 goals, Kane will need all the help he can get to overtake Liverpool’s Mo Salah as the league’s top scorer. The Egyptian international has been in sensational goalscoring form during his first season back in England, currently topping the scoring charts with 29 goals.
