Tottenham urge Drake to hang out with Ajax players ahead of Champions League semi-final

It’s God’s plan

Tottenham Hotspur triumphed over Manchester City on Wednesday evening, in what one of the most ridiculously entertaining and unpredictable games in Champions League history. Spurs will now face Ajax in the semi-finals.

The North Londoners survived two late dramatic VAR decisions to claim the victory – it was almost as if they had divine intervention.

Or maybe it was The Curse of Drake.

In case you are unfamiliar with the so-called curse, it is based on the fact that athletes that have their photo taken with the rapper have a habit of losing soon after the images emerge.

So much so, that the official Tottenham Hotspurs Twitter account for India even tweeted at Ajax, urging them to have their players hang out with Drizzy.

Following last night game, pictures of several Manchester City players with Drake, including Kevin De Bruyne, Leroy Sane and İlkay Gündoğan, started going around social media as ‘proof’ of the curse.

Other supposed victims include Paul Pogba, who was at Drake’s Manchester show just before Manchester United’s 2-1 loss to Wolves in the FA Cup.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang also suffered the curse after he went to one of the rapper’s London shows prior to Arsenal losing 1-0 to Everton.

Paris Saint-Germain’s Layvin Kurzawa was also snapped with Drake at The O2 – and then like clockwork, PSG got battered 5-1 by Lille.

The curse stretches further than football. Drake posed with an Irish flag alongside Conor McGregor ahead of McGregor’s loss to Khabib Nurmagomedov.

It has gotten so bad that AS Roma even supposedly banned their players from getting selfies with Aubery.
