It was a sloppy mistake

It was revealed yesterday that 15,000 seats would have to be ripped out from Tottenham Hotspur’s new White Hart Lane stadium after they were installed without a necessary pigment to prevent them from fading in bad weather.

There were fears that it would lead to further delays to the construction project is already set to last until a month into the season. However, the club have assured fans that this setback will not cause further delays.

“All seats affected are being swiftly replaced and it will not have any impact on the scheduling of our operational test events that are due to commence at the start of August or our first home fixture in our new stadium against Liverpool,” a club spokesman said when contacted by Press Association Sport on Thursday.

Tottenham will play their first four games of the season away from home while the new stadium is finished.

The ground, build on the exact same site as the old White Hart Lane, will feature the world’s longest bar and a cheese room, but at a high price that has proven to be too costly for many fans.
