Up to seven players and two members of staff have tested positive for coronavrius
Tottenham Hotspur are considering asking the Premier League to postpone their fixture against Brighton and Hove Albion this weekend due to a coronavirus outbreak at the club.
According to the Telegraph, up to seven players and two members of staff have tested positive for their Covid-19, with others due to take a PCR test today (Tuesday 7 December).

As per the report, it is believed that all of the players are first-team squad members, however those who have tested positive are reported to have all been double vaccinated.
The outbreak comes as an extra concern for Antonio Conte’s side who face a busy fixture list, starting with French side Rennes in the UEFA Conference League on Thursday before the trip to Brighton.
As it stands, their game on Thursday isn’t in jeopardy as UEFA rules state that ‘if less than 13 players registered on the A-list or no registered goalkeeper are available’ meaning that Tottenham will still technically be able to fulfil the fixture.
The Tottenham training ground remains open at present to allow for those players who haven’t tested positive to be able to train and prepare for their upcoming games.
Last season, several Premier League games were called off due to coronavirus outbreaks, however Tottenham’s current outbreak is thought to be the first that has happened this campaign.
While the Premier League have been understanding with previous requests to postpone games due to covid-19 outbreaks, it is unknown whether they will accept that made by Tottenham – should the club decide they are unable to fulfil the fixture.
Tottenham have already got one game in hand on the rest of the league, after their recent trip to Burnley was called off due to inclement weather conditions.
