Tottenham have provided a fresh injury update after he limped off during their 4-1 win over Bournemouth on Sunday.
The frontman collided with goalkeeper Asmir Begovic and injured the same ankle that kept him out for 2 months and 14 games last season and England supporters everywhere started screaming into their pillows.
Spurs tweeted this afternoon that he has damaged his lateral ligaments in his right ankle. He’s expected to return to first team training next month. Collective sighs of relief can be heard nationwide.
