Oh, mate
Bayern Munich went into tonight’s second leg of their semi-final tie against Real Madrid trailing by one goal, having lost 1-2 at the Allianz Arena to the European Champions. The task was big, but not insurmountable. An early goal would give them a great chance of at least taking the game to extra time. And they got it, through Joshua Kimmich, who also opened the scoring in the first leg. Game on.
Karim Benzema then levelled the scoring, bringing Bayern almost back to square one. Bayern remained in the tie, though, with their away goal, needing just one more to take it to extra time. But they shot themselves in the foot at the start of the second half, when Sven Ulreich, deputising for Manuel Neuer, could not get rid of a loose pass from Corentin Tolisso.
Realising he could not pick the ball up, Ulreich was stuck between two minds and failed to make any contact with the ball as Benzema rounded him and gratefully slotted the ball home.
You really have to see it to believe it, it’s that bad.
Just confirming this actually happened and is not a FIFA '18 bug 🙈 pic.twitter.com/nNsfSDZvm4

Tolisso is almost equally to blame, too. This momentary brain fart from Ulreich should not let the midfielder off the hook for what was a naive, awful back pass.
