WATCH: Cristiano Ronaldo takes anger out on cameraman after being subbed

He doesn't like being substituted

It was another frustrating night for Cristiano.

Real Madrid dropped points once again last night away to Levante as they struggled to kill off the game while 2-1 up. It was the second consecutive game in which the BBC (Bale, Benzema & Cristiano) started together in attack, but they could not replicate the same performance that led them to a 4-1 win against Valencia last weekend.

Madrid took the lead through Sergio Ramos but conceded an equaliser just before half-time. As Real Madrid searched for a winner, Isco and Marco Asensio came on for Bale and Ronaldo, both of whom had failed to make an impact on the game.

Isco scored to put Madrid 2-1 up, but they conceded again to Giampaolo Pazzini and Levante snatched a point.

Ronaldo is almost never substituted for obvious reasons, but desperate times call for desperate measures. Zidane needed a goal and Ronaldo didn’t look like scoring one.

Cameras follow Cristiano’s every step and last night was no different. He was well aware of this and gestured to the camera, instructing the cameraman to record the match instead of following him.

It’s quite unusual for Ronaldo not to want to be centre of attention. I suppose being taken off when Madrid needed a goal left a big dent on his ego.

Zinedine Zidane was asked why he took Ronaldo off, and whether he was injured. The coach told beIN SPORTS: “No. It was planned to change him, and that’s all.”
