Absolute scenes at the Stadio Olimpico
Italian football is pure theatre at its best, and Saturday’s game between Juventus and Lazio in Rome showed just how emotional the game can be.
As the game looked to be ending 0-0, Juve’s Paulo Dybala stepped up when it really mattered and scored a late, late winner to keep the Bianconeri within touching distance of league leaders Napoli.
Dybalaaaaaaaa!!!!
He snatches a late winner for Juventus!
Gianluigi Buffon even ran to the other end of the pitch to celebrate with his team 😂

Dybala is not the biggest in size, but he is strong. The ability to hold off the defender after he had spun past the initial line of defence, and then unleash a shot, from an almost horizontal angle, is incredible.
The boy is talented, and it’s moments like this that have earned him the famous number 10 shirt.
Arguably the most enjoyable part of this goal was not the finish, nor the limbs flying around the away end, but the fact that Juventus captain Gianluigi Buffon ran the length of the pitch to celebrate with his teammates and fans.
Buffon is 40 now, and probably only has one more year left in him; all the more reason to savour moments like this. Evidently, he can still move well given his age.
Juventus are still behind Napoli and have a game in hand after snow prevented them from playing Atalanta last weekend. They will be depending on Buffon and Dybala at both ends of the pitch if they are to win their seventh consecutive Scudetto.
