Not even two minutes in, and Tottenham were well and truly up against it in Turin.
Having conceded an early free-kick to Juventus, Gonzalo Higuain fired the Italian champions ahead in their Champions League last 16 tie with a brilliantly-executed volley.
With Spurs seemingly still preparing for the free-kick to be taken, the Argentine darted into the box and was found by Miralem Pjanić. Hardly breaking his stride, the former Real Madrid striker then hooked a volleyed shot back across goal and beyond Hugo Lloris into the far corner.
A dream start for Juventus, a nightmare start for Spurs…

A nightmare start for Mauricio Pochettino’s men, one which became worse six minutes later when Ben Davies conceded a penalty, allowing Higuain to bag his second of the night.
