Yaya. Yaya Yaya. Yaya Yaya. Yaya Yaya, Toure
The Ivorian midfielder is leaving Man City this summer after eight years, three Premier League medals, three League Cups and one FA Cup. He scored the winner in the semi-final against United and then again in the final itself along with a famous brace against Newcastle United in 2012, a definitive big-game performance to help fire Man City to their first league title in 44 years.
He is a certified legend at the Etihad and during today’s trophy celebrations his teammates were extremely eager to give the midfielder the send-off he deserves, knocking the Premier League trophy itself clean off the podium in the process.

They were, if anything, a bit too eager, mobbing Toure as he strode up to collect his winner’s medal to give him a well-deserved pat on the back. In the bedlam the trophy became an unfortunate casualty, falling onto the turf whilst the City players all went mental over Yaya.
A man in a suit showed great anticipation and quickly scrambled across to recover the situation.

Sergio Aguero and Kevin De Bruyne found it all very amusing, presumably because the incident reminded them of Claudio Bravo’s dropping exploits in the City goal the previous season.
