WATCH: Mo Salah spotted in Liverpool chippy

He's a big fan of the fish cakes, for anyone wondering...

In the eyes of Liverpool supporters, Mo Salah can do no wrong.

Since arriving from AS Roma last summer, his performances (and particularly the 31 goals he’s scored along the way) have made the Egyptian a firm fans’ favourite for the Red half of Merseyside.

Not that the 25-year-old needed to further ingratiate himself with Liverpool fans, but gestures such as this – minutes after the disappointing end to the club’s dramatic home draw with Tottenham – have also helped his already enormous popularity.

Away from the field it seems Salah has settled in well to life in the city, as a video doing the rounds on social media appears to show.

Posted on Twitter on Wednesday evening, the footage below shows the ‘Egyptian King’ nipping into Panny’s Place chippy, on Liverpool’s Breck Road. The tweet assures us that Salah has a particular fondness for their fish cakes, too.

Salah’s visit to the chippy is believed to have been part of a documentary on Salah which will be aired on television in his homeland.

The reaction to the pic on social media was as you might expect given his popularity:
