Saturday has not been a good one for supporters of Liverpool Football Club.
Their side had the opportunity to move into second in the Premier League with victory over Manchester United.
However, two Marcus Rashford goals saw them on the wrong end of a 2-1 defeat at Old Trafford. The result means their great rivals are now five points ahead of them in the league table.
Later in the day, Philippe Coutinho, who left Anfield a couple of months ago, was playing a starring role for Barcelona on the other side of the continent.
With Barca already leading against Malaga thanks to a goal from Luis Siarez – another former Liverpool star – the Brazilian doubled the lead with a clever near post flick.
Ousmane Dembélé, Barca’s other expensive recent signing, found him with a cross from the right hand-side and, from the edge of the six-yard box, he steered the ball into the far corner, beyond the reach of the diving goalkeeper.

Further evidence that Coutinho is settling into life at his new club very nicely indeed.
