Manchester City are champions.
Having all but mathematically won the league months ago, West Brom’s shock 1-0 victory over second-place Manchester United on Sunday afternoon finally confirmed Pep Guardiola’s side’s title. Cue scenes of wild celebration outside The Etihad.
Sort of.
Cameras from Manchester radio station Key 103 were outside City’s stadium shortly after the full-time whistle at Old Trafford, anticipating to capture thousands of the club’s supporters in jubilant celebration.
Maybe it was the weather; maybe they were just all down the pub… either way, it turned out there weren’t too many City fans about.
As a result, the video has since been widely shared, prompting comments such as ‘did they come in the same car?’ and ‘there’s more bollards than fans,’ from those replying to it on Twitter.

City’s Premier League title is their third in seven years and is added to the Carabao Cup they won earlier in the season. They are currently 16 points ahead of United and, with five games still to play, are on course to finish the league campaign with over 100 points.
Elsewhere on Sunday evening, Vincent Kompany addressed a gathering of City supporters (probably more than were featured in this video) in a nearby pub where he and other members of the team were celebrating.
