The least secure job in football lives up to its reputation once more.
Watford have sacked manager Xisco Munoz after their 1-0 defeat to Leeds on Saturday, continuing a remarkable run of sackings at the club.
The Hornets have now gone through 17 managers in a decade.
Munoz had only been in charge at the club for less than 10 months and guided them to promotion last season.
But after just seven games of the Premier League season he has been removed from his post.
Watford have picked up seven points so far this season, including an impressive 3-2 victory over Aston Villa on the opening day.
But their defeat to Leeds was described as a “1-0 battering” by goalkeeper Ben Foster, and the least patient club hierarchy in English football had seen enough.

In a statement the club said: “Watford FC confirms Xisco Muñoz has left his post as the club’s Head Coach.
“The Board feels recent performances strongly indicate a negative trend at a time when team cohesion should be visibly improving.
“The Hornets will always be grateful to Xisco for the part he played in securing last season’s promotion and wish him well for his future career in football.
“No further club comment will be available until the imminent announcement of a new Head Coach.”
Watford currently sit 14th in the Premier League, four points clear of the bottom three.
