Those that think that Ryan Giggs is a shoe-in to be Louis van Gaal’s replacement as Man United manager, there may be a new contender.
Okay –Â so we may be jumping the gun a little by saying that, but one of Giggs’ former United teammates reportedly has plans to become a manager in English football.
Andrei Kanchelskis, the former United winger, has applied for the vacant role at Derry City, seeing it as an ideal stepping stone for a job in England, reports the Irish Mirror.
The Ukranian applied for the post over the weekend, after leaving his last management post with Latvian side FC Jurmala in November 2014.
