Say what you like about Jose Mourinho, he’s clearly not afraid to risk tarnishing his legacy by returning to a club.
The Portuguese isn’t as popular at Real Madrid as he is at Chelsea, but many fans will consider him a favourable option to under-fire incumbent Rafa Benitez.
Mourinho spent three seasons in the Spanish capital, winning La Liga in 2012, and the club’s former president Ramon Calderon is backing the 52-year-old to return.

‘Mou is closer to Madrid’, Calderon posted on Twitter, emphasising that he was expressing his personal opinions rather than those of the club.

Madrid are currently third in La Liga, five points behind leaders Barcelona, and will face Roma in the second round of the Champions League after winning their group.
