Frank Lampard and Jurgen Klopp in heated touchline row during Liverpool vs Chelsea

“You can f*** off.”

Frank Lampard and Jurgen Klopp were involved in a heated touchline row during Liverpool’s win over Chelsea on Wednesday night.

Liverpool emerged 5-3 victors on the night that they lifted the Premier League title, but with Champions League not yet secured for Chelsea, the Blues had a lot to play for.

During a period when play was stopped for a foul, the two managers had a profane exchange of words, in which Lampard can be heard telling the Liverpool boss to “f*** off” more than once.

Liverpool had just won a free kick outside Chelsea’s box after Mateo Kovacic committed a foul, a decision which Lampard appeared to disagree with.

“How is that a foul? There’s no foul there,” Lampard complained to the fourth official.

Klopp’s response to tell Lampard to calm down only seemed to anger him more, who went on to say: “If he’s going off at me I’ll f***ing say something, It’s not a foul, I’m not asking you!”

“You can f*** off and all. You think you can give it the big one, f*** off,” he said, before adding: “Tell them to have respect, sit down.”

Trent Alexander-Arnold scored the resulting free-kick, Liverpool’s second goal of the night.

Lampard later told Sky Sports: “It is a fine line between winning, fair play they’ve won the league, but don’t get too arrogant with it.”

It doesn’t seem like his words affected Liverpool too much, who lifted the Premier League trophy for the first time ever after the game in a ceremony that involved strobe lighting and fireworks, costing a reported £1million.
