“It’s life-changing money, so I’m not going to stand in the way of him”
Frank Warren thinks that a fight between Tommy Fury and Jake Paul is ‘quite close’ to finally being signed.
Fury has been involved in a back-and-fourth ‘rivalry’ with YouTube star Paul since the beginning of the year, with both fighters keen to add another win to their professional records.
Tommy, the half-brother of WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, fought on the same card as ‘The Problem Child’ in August, as Paul secured a victory over former UFC star Tyron Woodley, whilst Fury defeated his Paul’s sparring partner Anthony Taylor.
Paul currently boasts a professional record of 4-0, whilst ‘TNT’ has amassed seven wins since his debut in 2018.
In his short boxing career, the YouTuber has been successful in enticing his opponents with risky ‘bets’ that relate to the outcome of their fight.
After he was beaten by Paul, Woodley got a tattoo that read ‘I love Jake Paul’, with the fighters having made a wager prior to their bout.
Now, Paul has offered Fury an extra $500,000 if he beats him, but demanded that he changes his name to ‘Tommy Fumbles’ if he loses.

Fury is seemingly keen to secure a fight against the 24-year-old and his promoter insists that it would be a great career move for him just three years into his boxing journey.
“He’s a novice, he has only had seven fights,” Warren said on White and Jordan (TalkSport).
“With the reality thing and the age we live in, he’s got about four or five million Instagram followers, which is obviously a big thing.
“He’s obviously well-liked as Tyson’s brother, so that all helps. With Jake Paul, I think he’s got 25 million followers.
“If this fight gets signed, which I think is quite close from Tommy’s perspective, it’s going to be a huge money-making fight for him.
“It’s life-changing money, so I’m not going to stand in the way of him – in fact I will encourage it – because I think he beats Jake Paul.
“The way I grew up in boxing, and I know I’m an old git, is changing.”
