Gary Lineker’s assessment of Jordan Henderson’s performance has caused confusion

Simon Lloyd

Poor Jordan Henderson.

Before England had even kicked off their final group match against Slovakia, England fans were already dreading the sight of the Liverpool man starting his first Euro 2016 match.

If we’re being honest, his performance in the game’s first half did little to change many people’s minds.

Crosses were overhit and possession was lost on numerous occasions by him, and many were quick to express their frustration on social media.

But then there was this from Gary Lineker…

Was it sarcasm? We think (hope) so. One thing’s for sure though, it certainly caused plenty of confusion.

Despite dominating the first half, England once again ended the first half without a goal to their names.
