Liverpool Football Club is 125 years old. Happy birthday, Liverpool Football Club.
As you might expect, the club’s official accounts have fired out a few tweets about their special anniversary. As have a few of those players that represented the Anfield club during that time.
Take a certain Jamie Carragher, for example. Directing his followers to a special video the club had prepared for their anniversary, condensing their 125-year history into 125 seconds, he fired out his own special message.
This is very good……oh & Happy 125th Birthday @LFC 🎂not done too bad have we! https://t.co/tLISdovU7H

As you might expect, one of Carra’s Sky Sports colleagues was never going to let an opportunity to poke a bit of lighthearted fun at the former Liverpool defender for this tweet.
Of course, we are referring to Gary Neville, who spent all of his career playing down the East Lancs Road from Carragher at Manchester United.
Responding to his Monday Night Football colleague, Neville reminded him that Liverpool performed okay for the first 100 years of their 125 year history, until Carragher joined the club.
The first 100 were ok!! Then you joined! https://t.co/ibTjmlWwFo
