If anyone knows about challenging for the Premier League title, it’s Gary Neville.
The former Manchester United captain has eight league winner’s medals to his name, so his words will hurt fans of his former club to the core.
Speaking on Sky Sports after United’s defeat to Swansea, Neville admitted that he does not look at the club as title contenders and that “something has to change” for them even to improve on last season’s 4th place.

“At this moment in time we’re not judging them as title contenders,” he said.
“We’re judging them [on moving from] fourth to third or second, because that’s the next step. But at this moment in time they’re going to stay where they are.”
