Gennady Golovkin defended his world middleweight titles by racking up his 22nd successive knockout against Dominic Wade.
The American had been unbeaten before his meeting with Golovkin, who holds the WBA Super and IBF belts and has now won all of his 35 professional fights, knocking out his opponent on 32 occasions.
The fight was stopped with 23 seconds remaining in the second round, and the Kazakhstan fighter could now face Britain’s Amir Khan in his next bout.
Khan faces WBC champion Saul Alvarez in Las Vegas in May, and Golovkin had a message for the Mexican after seeing off Wade.
“Give me my belt! I’m ready,” he told Alvarez.
“I’m here now and I’m here to stay. I’m not going anywhere. Let’s fight.”
