The former England manager was at the BT studios to appear on BT Sport Score
Glenn Hoddle is seriously ill in hospital today after collapsing at BT Sport’s studios shortly after appearing on the show, with host Mark Pougatch confirming that the show had been cancelled as a result.
The former Tottenham and Chelsea player, who turns 61 today, has been the subject of droves of well wishes on social media after news of his illness came to light.
Among those wishing Hoddle and his family the best were BT Sport host Jake Humphrey and Match of the Day and BT Sport Champions League host Gary Lineker.
No official statement regarding Hoddle’s condition has been released.
Our friend & colleague Glenn Hoddle was taken seriously ill at the BT Sport studio this morning.
For that reason there will be no @btsportscore – but we will be live as usual for the 5.30 ko at Leicester.
Everyone of us is right with you Glenn, sending love & strength ❤️
