Harry Kane could play for Spurs against Man City in first Premier League game

Kane could start the first game of the season against his potential suitors

According to reports, Harry Kane will be available to face defending Premier League champions and his heavy suitors, Manchester City, in their opening fixture of the season.

The word comes from recently appointed Spurs head coach, Nuno Espirito Santo – having left Wolves via mutual consent – who said Kane is available, stating that “All the players in the squad that work on a daily basis will be options for us”.

Kane recently caused a rare stir after it was thought he missed training in an attempt to force a move to the blue half of Manchester, or at least somewhere, having previously hinted at a move away from his boyhood club.

The 28-year-old did ultimately deny these allegations after facing widespread criticism from fans and pundits alike, but the fact remains that England’s star striker has made no secret of wanting to have already won some silverware by this point.

The latest in his transfer saga is that City are set to offer a player plus cash to secure Kane‘s signature, as they look to find an outright number nine to replace Aguero.

City have, of course, just smashed the record for both a Premier League and an English player transfer with the acquisition of Jack Grealish for £100, but Pep has made no secret of his desire to bring the Spurs man to the Etihad.

Could we see Kane give one last ‘snap me up’ performance for Spurs on Sunday the 15th before City finally pull the trigger or, to be more accurate, Daniel Levy relents?
