Harvey Elliott becomes youngest player in Premier League history

History is made

Fulham have known for a couple of weeks that they’re on their way out of the Premier League, but in their penultimate game of the season, they have at least claimed a little bit of history in the top flight.

Losing 1-0 to Wolves away at Molineux, manager Scott Parker brought on Harvey Elliott for the final minutes of the game.

At just 16 years and 30 days, he became the youngest player to make an appearance in the Premier League.

Elliott

Elliott had already been named on Fulham’s bench on a couple of occasions prior to the game against Wolves without ever making it on to the field.

The young midfielder’s cameo wasn’t enough to change the course of the game, however, with Leander Dendoncker’s goal 15 minutes from the full-time whistle enough to clinch all three points for Wolves.

Fulham, who were promoted at the end of last season following a play-off final win over Aston Villa, will finish the season in 19th. Their final game will come against Newcastle United at Craven Cottage next Saturday.
