France captain Hugo Lloris has spoken with eloquence and great heart ahead of his country’s game with England on Tuesday night.
It was confirmed on Saturday morning that the international friendly would go ahead just four days after the tragic terrorist attacks on Paris.
A sombre Lloris described the game as an “escape for one hour thirty”, and conceded that it would be a very “emotional” occasion for the French players.
He also had nothing but kind words for England and their fans. “We know English people are very respectful, and Tuesday will be a great moment of solidarity,” said the 28-year-old.
