Dele Alli received a great reception from the Spurs fans
Tottenham Hotspur captain Hugo Lloris helped Dele Alli say goodbye to the Spurs fans after Everton suffered a 5-0 thrashing at the hands of Antonio Conte’s men on Monday night.
Spurs ran riot against Frank Lampard’s Everton at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, with Harry Kane scoring a brace to overtake Arsenal legend Thierry Henry in the all-time list of top scorers in the Premier League.
Heung-min Son and Sergio Reguilón also got on the scoresheet on a night to forget for Dele, who was returning to Tottenham for the first time since joining Everton on Deadline Day in January.
The 25-year-old started the game on the bench and was brought on in the 69th minute – when Conte’s side were already winning 5-0.
Dele received a great reception from the Spurs supporters and was applauded as he waited to enter the field. Fans then burst into a rendition of his chant.

After the full-time whistle, Spurs captain Hugo Lloris put his arm round the midfielder and led him to the Tottenham supporters behind the goal.
The England international soaked up the applause – waving to the fans – before heading down the tunnel and into the changing room.

Dele signed for Spurs for £5m from MK Dons in 2015, where he went on to make 269 appearances for the north London outfit, scoring 67 times.
He was a vital part of the Mauricio Pochettino side that finished second in the Premier League and reached the Champions League final in 2019.
However, after falling out of favour at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Dele made the move to the Toffees in a deal worth up to £40m.
Since arriving at Goodison Park, the midfielder has featured on five occasions, failing to find the back of the net.
