Ian Wright is a man who wears his heart on his sleeve.
Despite carving out a career as a television pundit since retiring from football, he makes no bones about his undying love for Arsenal. He loves the club and doesn’t even pretend to be neutral or objective about it.
He is also incredibly positive by nature. And yet he sounded crestfallen when describing Arsenal’s sorry 3-2 defeat to unfancied Olympiakos at the Emirates.
“It’s a massive, massive disappointment,” lamented Wright. “It’s the defensive errors and the little mistakes. It’s just, it’s just so poor. The space for the third goal – it’s just ridiculous really.”
Poor Wrighty. And poor, poor Arsenal.
"It's so poor!" An extremely disappointed @IanWright0 offers his initial reaction at full-time. #UCL http://t.co/pV672R0QWP
