Nothing else needed to be said.
Arsenal look set to exit the Champions League at the round of 16 stage, yet again, after suffering a humiliating 5-1 defeat at the hands of Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena.
Optimistic wouldn’t even be the word if you think Arsenal can turn around such a deficit for the return leg at the Emirates.
Arsenal looked on course for a good result, as they cancelled out Arjen Robben’s brilliant opener with a rather fortuitous equaliser through Alexis Sanchez.

Almost inevitably though, Arsenal went on to do what Arsenal generally do best – implode after offering some cause for optimism.
A goal from Robert Lewandowski, a brace from Thiago Alcântara and final sucker punch from Thomas Muller ensured that Munich are essentially through to the quarter-final stages of this season’s competition.
Arsenal’s play in the second half lacked conviction, defensive cohesion and a general will to turn things around.
One man who found this display difficult to watch was former Arsenal player, Ian Wright.
The 53-year-old has had his concerns about his former club for some time now, outlining last week that he believes Arsene Wenger’s tenure at the club is coming to an end.
Well it would seem that this belief isn’t going to change anytime soon after Arsenal’s latest pathetic performance.

“******g shambles.”
No better words to sum up that display.
Wright went on to tweet his further dismay with regards to the away side’s performance.

You’re probably better off, Ian.
