“He can’t possibly be any worse than Simon Mignolet.”
The famous last words of Liverpool fans around the world.
After a long run of great results came to an end at Bournemouth last weekend, Liverpool sat 2-1 down against West Ham at half-time on Sunday, thanks in large part to the deficiencies of their German goalkeeper Loris Karius.
The keeper was at fault for the first goal, a Payet free-kick that rattled the corner of the net and he didn’t cover himself in glory for the second when he stayed at home after the ball bounced over Joel Matip’s head.
Twitter was not in a forgiving mood, and that includes professional pundits.
Karius may not care what @GNev2 thinks but making the odd save might strengthen his case.

Karius was supposed to fill the void created by Mignolet; he is only making it bigger. Hoping he bounces back from this.
