It seems no one is happy about Roy Hodgson jumping on the Marcus Rashford bandwagon

It was only a matter of time.

Marcus Rashford has started his senior Man United career like a bullet out of a gun. Partly because of the potential he has shown in the youth ranks, but mainly due to Louis van Gaal’s wafer-thin squad experiencing an injury crisis, the local lad was given his opportunity and has seized it.

But before he has even racked up 90 minutes of Premier League football, Rashford has already been touted for an England berth at the Euros. If that sounds premature and like it’s needlessly heaping pressure on a young novice, it’s only the England manager who’s said it.

Roy Hodgson has stated that he has been watching the youngster for some time (yeah, right) and that he ‘wouldn’t rule him out’ of being part of the national squad that travels to this year’s tournament. Not surprisingly, there are many who are less than impressed…
