N’Golo Kante, as we’ve seen again this year, is a bloody good footballer.
Having played a key role in Leicester’s successes last year, the Frenchman appears to be within touching distance of his second league title in as many years. It wouldn’t be that much of a surprise if he finished the season with a couple of the big individual awards, either.
Blessed with the ability to do the work of at least seven people at once, it seems quite incredible that the French midfielder stands at just 5’6″.
As he lined up beside teammates Thibaut Courtois and David Luiz ahead of Monday night’s game with West Ham at the London Stadium, his lack of height compared to some of his teammates was there for all to see.
And, as pointed out by a few people watching the game, Kante also appeared to be dwarfed by Chelsea’s (admittedly quite tall child) mascot for the night…

And for those of you who reckon the perspectives a bit messed up on that particular picture, here’s another one…

Still, what he lacks in height he more than makes up for in ability to win a football, as he showed when intercepting Mark Noble’s pass and starting the move for Eden Hazard’s opener.
