Italian giants chasing Aaron Ramsey as they near Ivan Gazidis appointment

Ramsey is into the final months of his contract at Arsenal and will be allowed to leave on a free if he is not sold in January

He will be out of contract at the end of this season

Aaron Ramsey continues to be the subject of much speculation as his contract at Arsenal runs down to its final months.

If no deal is agreed, Arsenal could be forced into selling him in January to ensure that he does not leave for free in the summer.

Chelsea expressed an interest in the summer but the latest club to join the race for the player is AC Milan. The Italian giants have experienced somewhat or a renaissance under Gennaro Gattuso and want to bring the Welshman in to boost their chances of securing Champions League football, according to reports in Italy.

Milan are hoping that Arsenal chief executive Ivan Gazidis will leave the north London club to join the board at the San Siro, and help them bring Ramsey to Serie A.

Unai Emery is adamant that he wants Ramsey to remain at the club, but the player currently holds the cards, and has a variety of clubs to choose from, should he decide to leave the Emirates after a ten year spell.
