Labour voters in Liverpool may feel like they have the worst hangover ever on Friday morning.
Not only was the party crushed in the general election, but the night also brought the miserable news that Daniel Sturridge has been ruled out for four months following hip surgery.
There is even talk in some papers that the Liverpool striker could be missing until November, continuing a nasty run of luck with injuries that has seen him play just 18 matches all season.
