Jamie Vardy bangs in a wonderful team goal for England against Holland

Yes it’s only a friendly, but we don’t care – we’re going to get carried away.

Admit it, you’re starting to get a little excited about the new-look England ahead of Euro 2016 too.

The signs are looking positive for Roy Hodgson’s side – not least after their impressive comeback against Germany.

But now because they’re really gelling as a team, despite the absence of talismanic striker Wayne Rooney.

Jamie Vardy was that man again finishing off a wonderful, flowing team move from the England side to go 1-0 against Holland.

After scoring with a lovely flick against Germany, Vardy was on the end of a Kyle Walker pass to slot home after a well-worked move which began with John Stones.

We know they’re going to break our hearts again this summer in France, but you can’t help but hope this new generation could do something special…
