It was a good day at the office for Leicester City
Brendan Rodgers’ Leicester City side absolutely battered Arsenal at the King Power Stadium on Sunday afternoon, winning 3-0 and dominating the game from the first minute.
Arsenal were frankly hapless throughout and were not helped by a harsh red card against Ainsley Maitland-Niles in the first half. In truth though, Unai Emery’s team looked poor even with 11 men, and at no point did they look like winning the match.
The Foxes took the lead on the hour mark, thanks to a glancing header from on-loan midfielder Youri Tielemans, before two late goals from Jamie Vardy killed the game entirely.
Vardy was clearly delighted with his goals, further solidifying his status as one of the most deadly footballers when playing against the Premier League’s top sides, and after the final whistle he was quick to take a jab at one of Arsenal’s more outspoken fans.
In a tweet sent at 2.27pm, the striker said simply: “Hi Piers Morgan” accompanied by some lovely little emojis.
Hi @piersmorgan 🤪👋🏼

Ever the wallflower, Morgan did in fact respond to Vardy saying “Well played Vardy, you *******”.
We’re not sure what the word behind the asterisks are, but we’ll leave it up to your imagination.
Well played Vardy, you *******. https://t.co/nVrCAsH95M

Vardy is a divisive figure, with some people loving him and some loathing him, but in slagging off Piers Morgan so publicly, he’ll have gained a lot of fans today.
