Louis van Gaal just can’t catch a break at the moment, which is in stark contrast to the form of one of his Manchester United rejects.
While the Red Devils have struggled desperately for goals this season – notching up another 0-0 draw against Chelsea – Javier Hernandez has hit a purple patch at new club Bayer Leverkusen.
The Mexican hitman, who was told by Van Gaal that he had no future at Old Trafford last summer, has been named player of the month in Germany for the second month in a row, leaving the United manager rather red-faced.

Van Gaal reportedly told Hernandez there was just a ‘one per cent chance’ of him playing a part at United this year.
But that now looks a foolish decision, with Chicharito bagging 17 goals in his last 14 matches in all competitions.
