Wait a minute, how did we all manage to miss this?
By now, you’ll probably have heard about (if not seen) the interview Jose Mourinho gave to Gary Lineker last week.
One of the standout lines from the interview was Mourinho’s comments about some of the attacking players that had been let go by his predecessor, Louis van Gaal.
“Manchester United sold players that I would never sell, and bought players I would never buy,” he said.
“I would have never sold [Angel] di Maria, Chicharito [Javier Hernandez], Danny Welbeck. Never. No chance.”
Would Mourinho have sold Di Maria, Chicharito & Welbeck? NEVER!

While there’s been little in the way of a response from Di Maria and Welbeck, those that follow Hernandez’s Twitter account might have spotted that Mourinho’s words certainly reached the Mexican, who is now plying his trade in Germany with Bayer Leverkusen.
Not only did the 28-year-old retweet the video of Mourinho’s response from BBC Sport…
He also retweeted the footage again when it was shared by ESPN’s Sergio Dipp.
It’s safe to assume that Hernandez is pleased with Mourinho’s comments and, who knows, with United reportedly looking to bolster their attacking threat in the summer, perhaps the Mexican is hinting that he’d quite like to make a return?
Surely, a player that wants to avoid such speculation shouldn’t be retweeting this sort of thing…
