Bayern Munich defender Jerome Boateng is officially the first footballer to sign with Roc Nation, Jay-Z’s talent agency.
The German footballer announced the partnership with Brooklyn’s finest on Twitter.

The World Cup-winner is clearly looking to build his brand in the US, perhaps ahead of an eventual move to MLS.
While MLS isn’t exactly the holy grail for European footballers, he’s not going to be young forever so you can’t knock the hustle of getting into an empire state of mind early. Forgive us.
