Joey Barton has finally found a new home with Championship side Burnley FC.
The former QPR man has signed a one-year deal with the Clarets who are looking to bounce back to the Premier League after suffering relegation last season.
Barton seems to be quite chuffed to be joining up with Sean Dyche’s side…
Delighted to have signed for @BurnleyOfficial A football environment I cannot wait to be a part.

Shouldn't really have an open top bus for a 2nd place finish really. Champions or a Cup win @campbellclaret pic.twitter.com/DNxX76FrBn

Looking forward to getting amongst it again. Tremendous group of people at the club with ambition to be back in the PL. Can't wait.

It sounds like the former Man City midfielder can’t wait to get to Burnley, which is funny because barely a year ago it seemed like he wasn’t the biggest fan of the mill town.
That’s a bit of an understatement to be honest, judging by these rather colourful tweets after a Burnley fan lobbed a Coke bottle at his head at Turf Moor…
Caught a load in Burnley today. Good fishing up there this afternoon. 🎣 pic.twitter.com/Kdv8obZLii

In my defence Burnley fans started this by chucking a bottle of coke at my head. I hope you get the 'large' crowds your expecting! #20k

“@JosHounslow: @Joey7Barton just gone live to Burnley on sky sports… pic.twitter.com/FY9nXTKwC3” hahaha

Breaking news: Apologies to Burnley. Just heard all fans are en route as we speak to see the open top bus… 🙈 pic.twitter.com/5E3gzE9Sla

@GaryMurg We might be crap. We may well be really over rated but at least we don't have to live in Burnley!

What a difference a year makes, eh!
