England’s rising star speaks exclusively to JOE
Jofra Archer’s rise from relative anonymity to worldwide fame was befitting of the term ‘skyrocket’. His fast-tracking into the England side and his crucial part in last summer’s World Cup win made him a national hero in the space of months. Some people might struggle with suddenly being thrust into the spotlight like that. Archer didn’t, despite the scepticism around his selection (which, in hindsight, seems even stupider than before.)

The Bajan born bowler has taken it all in his stride and remains the calm, self-assured, polite young man he always has been. Aside from cricket, his main love (and how he has spent 80% of lockdown) is playing Call of Duty.

Speaking to JOE, Archer discussed his Call of Duty achievements, how they compare to winning the World Cup, getting Ben Stokes addicted to Warzone, and which of his teammates would be good/useless in CoD or real life combat scenarios.
