Like the Liverpool midfield, the wheels are turning and Jordan Henderson is part of it
Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson is rallying fellow Premier League captains for an emergency meeting to discuss their response to the looming Super League plans, as per reports from Mike Keegan at the Daily Mail.
Henderson’s teammate James Milner and manager Jurgen Klopp faced the media after their draw with Leeds United on Monday night, with both revealing that they had found out at roughly the same time as the general public.
Milner, in an interview with Sky Sports, said openly: “I don’t like it and I hope it doesn’t happen.”

With reports that players across the so-called ‘Big Six’ are said to be unhappy with owners over a lack of communication or any level of say in what could be a career-altering decision, Henderson is now leading the charge against the controversial competition from the inside.
Liverpool are one of the six Premier League clubs set to be included in the breakaway competition and its owners – the Fenway Sports Group (FSG) – are apparently one of those who spearheaded the move, alongside the Glazers.

It is still unclear whether this story relates only to the captains of the clubs included in the Super League, or whether the remaining 14 Premier League team captains are also part of the discussion.
Regardless, it is fantastic to see players and fans mobilising as Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher suggested on the likes of Monday Night Football.
