Manchester United rescued a 3-2 win against Crystal Palace on Monday night.
Palace scored early through Andros Townsend, and then doubled their lead just after half-time when Patrick van Aanholt raced through on goal to score past David de Gea with a nice finish.
But, United managed to come from behind to take all three points, thanks to goals from Chris Smalling, Romelu Lukaku and Nemanja Matic. The Serbian midfielder scored a last-minute goal to end a difficult evening at Selhurst Park on a high note.
Matic spoke to Sky Sports following the game, and shared a joke with his manager. “I hope you were not the man of the match,” Mourinho could be heard saying off-screen.
“No, I was not,” Matic replied.

When the United manager spoke to Sky, he praised his side for fighting back, but said they made some “childish” mistakes for Palace’s second goal
“Disgraceful, childish, you can find so many objectives for the second goal, everything changed, but then the players kept an amazing attitude,” Mourinho said.
“I have to say that Roy (Hodgson) had a fantastic gameplan, really aggressive, two big strong strikers to play direct to them and cause us problems with crosses and direct football and second balls, also counter-attacking with Townsend and Patrick. So sometimes the winner is the one that deserves congrats but I have been many times on the losing side and sometimes I felt I did many things right and I think Roy did everything right. To come back from 2-0 down away home against a team fighting desperately for points and scoring in the last minute gives us a great feeling.”
